EVA Series – Controlled discharge for extraction and pneumatic conveying systems
The EVA series metering rotary valves are designed for the controlled discharge and feeding of solid materials within extraction and pneumatic conveying systems.
They can be mounted on various industrial equipment such as silos, cyclones, filters, scrubbers, or collection tanks, ensuring a constant flow of material and maintaining the tightness of the air circuit.
Design Features
The rotary valve consists of the following main assemblies:
- Housing (1) – robust steel structure, ensures rotor guidance;
- Rotor (2) – equipped with constant volume cells for material metering;
- Gearbox (3) – transmits uniform rotational movement;
- Electric motor (4) – drives the rotor, ensuring the speed required for stable operation.
The rotary valves are available in four standard sizes: EVA20, EVA30, EVA40 and EVA50, with discharge rates between 160 and 2460 dm³/min and motor reducer powers between 0.55 – 2.2 kW.
All models are designed for long life and minimal maintenance.
Operating principle
The material falls by gravity through the inlet into the rotor compartments. Through controlled rotation, each compartment aligns successively with the outlet, achieving uniform material discharge.
The tightness between chambers is maintained by precise rotor tolerances, preventing air losses from the pneumatic system.
Depending on the application, the rotary valve can be programmed to operate:
- before the fan or screw conveyor starts (for pre-feeding);
- simultaneously (for continuous flow);
- after stopping the fan (to completely empty the circuit).
