FAU / FSAU Series – Efficient solutions for filtering smoke and oil mist

The FAU and FSAU series filters, manufactured by SA NU VENT, are designed for purifying contaminated air generated during industrial processing, where welding fume, oil mist, emulsion vapors, and other fine impurities are formed.
These systems provide progressive filtration in multiple efficiency stages and are adaptable to various industrial applications, from welding to machining processes with cooling oils.

Thanks to the modular construction and centrifugal pre-separation option, the FAU / FSAU series offers high efficiency, durability, and reduced maintenance costs, making it an ideal choice for clean air and a safe working environment.

Operating principle

The polluted air is drawn into the filter through the inlet and initially directed to the spiral duct (optional for the FSAU series).
In this area, centrifugal pre-separation takes place: the air is set in rotation, and heavier particles, such as oil or emulsion droplets, are separated before reaching the main filtration area.

Subsequently, the air passes through a multi-stage filtration system:

Corrugated metal filters – retain large oil droplets and solid impurities;
Corrugated polyester synthetic filters – capture medium-sized particles and droplets;
Rigid pocket filters – ensure the capture of fine particles and residual oil mist.

During the process, the oil mist condenses, forming droplets that drain into the collection tray at the base of the filter, being subsequently discharged into external containers through drain valves.
The purified air leaves the filter through the outlet, ready for reintroduction into the workspace or discharge into the external environment.

Construction and technical characteristics

FAU / FSAU filters are made to operate in intensive industrial conditions, with a compact design and easy access for maintenance.

Casing made of painted sheet metal, robust and corrosion-resistant;
Air inlet and outlet strategically placed for maximum efficiency;
Spiral duct (optional, only on the FSAU model) – ensures centrifugal pre-separation of oil and emulsion vapors, increasing the life of the filters;
Filter cells arranged in multiple stages for efficient capture of impurities of different sizes;
Access doors for quick cleaning and maintenance;
Collection tray with drainage system for the discharge of condensed oil.

FAU versions are recommended for welding fume and applications with reduced amounts of vapors, while FSAU models, equipped with the spiral duct, are ideal for applications with large volumes of oil or emulsion vapors.
