Activated Carbon Filters – FCA Series

FCA Series – Advanced air purification through adsorption

The FCA series activated carbon filters, manufactured by SA NU VENT, are designed for purifying air contaminated with odors, chemical vapors, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). These units offer a professional solution for treating air exhausted from industrial processes, laboratories, production halls, or paint booths, ensuring high air quality and a safe working environment.

The adsorption process allows for the efficient capture of VOC molecules and odors on the surface of the activated carbon granules, a material characterized by high porosity and a large retention capacity.

Operating principle

The polluted air is drawn into the filter through the lower part, first entering the settling chamber, where the flow velocity decreases, and large particles settle gravitationally.
Subsequently, the air passes through fiberglass pre-filters, which retain coarse impurities (dust, pollen, fibers), protecting the activated carbon cartridges from premature contamination.

In the final stage, the air enters the active filtration zone, where the adsorption process takes place: VOC molecules and odors are retained in the pores of the activated carbon granules.
The air thus purified is discharged through the upper part of the filter, making it safe for release into the atmosphere or for recirculation in work spaces.

Construction and technical characteristics

FCA filters are made for performance and durability in intense industrial conditions, offering efficient filtration without additional energy consumption.

  • Sealed metal housing – mechanically resistant, protected against corrosion;
  • Fiberglass pre-filters – located at the base, for retaining coarse particles;
  • Activated carbon cartridges – filled with high-quality granules for efficient VOC adsorption;
  • Inspection doors – provide quick access to the filter elements for maintenance;
  • Settling chamber – equalizes air distribution and retains large particles before filtration.

Thanks to their modular design, FCA filters can be adapted to different airflows and technical spaces, making them easy to integrate into existing ventilation systems.

Advantages and benefits
  • Effectively eliminates odors and volatile organic compounds (VOCs);
  • Requires no additional energy – passive adsorption process;
  • Simple maintenance, with easy cartridge replacement;
  • Pre-filtration extends the life of the active medium;
  • Suitable for multiple industrial and commercial applications.
Recommended applications
  • Production halls and industrial workshops;
  • Laboratories and packaging lines;
  • Painting and finishing booths;
  • Technological processes that generate vapors, odors, or VOCs.
