Sawdust extraction and storage system for the lumber production factory
Sanu Vent Project – Sărașău, Maramureș County
🔹 General description
Within a lumber production factory in Sărașău, Maramureș County, Sanu Vent designed and installed a complete sawdust extraction and storage system, intended for capturing, transporting, and filtering wood particles generated during cutting, planing, and sanding processes.
The system contributes to maintaining cleanliness in production areas, reducing fire risks, and complying with environmental protection standards.
🔹 Main components of the system
1️⃣ Suction ductwork
- Made of high-strength galvanized sheet metal;
- Dimensioned for the efficient transport of sawdust and wood particles from processing equipment;
- Includes a network of branched pipes, adapted to the configuration of the production line and the required flow rate.
2️⃣ Two centrifugal fans
- Ensures the necessary air flow for capturing and transporting the aspirated material to the storage system;
- Contributes to maintaining a constant and balanced flow in the system.
3️⃣ Sawdust storage silo – capacity 40 m³
- Enclosed metal structure, intended for the accumulation and safe storage of the aspirated material;
- Equipped with:
- Upper filtering chamber equipped with polyester filter sleeves for retaining fine particles and separating air from material;
- Agitation system that prevents the formation of arches or blockages in the sawdust mass;
- Controlled discharge system (screw conveyor + rotary valve) for evacuating the material to a container or trailer.

- Efficient air filtration before discharge into the atmosphere;
- Reduction of dust, fire, and explosion risks in production areas;
- Controlled and clean storage of the resulting wood material;

- designing the extraction and storage system;
- producing the ductwork, fans, and silo;
- complete assembly and testing of efficiency parameters.
