Extraction and filtration system for extruders – capturing vapors, smoke, and fine particles

🔹 General description
To ensure a safe and clean working environment in the area of plastic and composite material extrusion, Sanu Vent designed and installed a complete system for the extraction, transport, and filtration of contaminated air.
The system is designed to capture and treat vapors, smoke, and fine particles generated during the technological process, complying with the strictest environmental protection and occupational health standards.
🔹 System components
1️⃣ Capture hoods
Strategically mounted above the extruder heads, the hoods ensure local capture of emissions (vapors, odors, smoke) directly from the source, preventing their dispersion into the production area.
2️⃣ Galvanized sheet metal ductwork
Airtight duct network, made of galvanized sheet metal, sized for the transport of contaminated air to the filtration system.
The ductwork is resistant to high temperatures and volatile substances resulting from the extrusion process.
3️⃣ Wet scrubbers
Equipment for washing contaminated air using a specialized liquid solution.
The scrubbers efficiently retain solid particles, aerosols, and soluble gases, contributing to the purification of the evacuated air.
4️⃣ Centrifugal fan
Ensures air circulation throughout the system and the necessary flow for the passage of contaminated air through the filtration scrubbers.
The fan is sized for continuous industrial operation.

🔹 Integrated solutions offered by Sanu Vent
The Buzău project was carried out entirely by Sanu Vent, including:
- design of the capture and filtration system;
- manufacturing and installation of the hood and ductwork made of galvanized sheet metal;
- installation of scrubbers and the centrifugal fan;
- commissioning and performance testing.
The result: a modern and energy-efficient installation that guarantees controlled emissions and a safe working environment.
